Excerpt from K.C. Cole’s “The Hole in The Universe”

“Say the universe is made of vibrating strings; if you take away all of the energy, the strings don’t vibrate but you still have strings. Or, let’s say, “nothing” is the watery universe of a fish. If all of the energy is taken out the water freezes. Instead of an amorphous fluid, you now have the crystal structure left behind when all  the energy is removed. But it is still water. This structured kind of Nothing corresponds to the vacuum in which we ( and everything in the universe) ultimately resides.”
